 Overview
Our design process starts with the results the client desires to achieve, whether it be access control, personal identification, general surveillance, evidentiary recording, or some other purpose. Equipment is carefully selected to match the design goal, and both senior management and operations personnel who will use the facility are consulted to make certain that device placement supports business needs and doesn't create unnecessary obstacles. Specifications are then drawn up to provide a road map for potential vendors.
Bid Process
Bid documents are created to incorporate the specifications and standards and to provide a standard submission template so that bids can be validly compared. Vendors are invited to participate based on vendor certification with the systems to be installed and past performance in successfully delivering similar systems in a given locale. A pre-bid meeting is held to discuss the bid terms, conduct a walk through of the facility, construction site, or floor plans, and to answer any questions.
Once bids are returned, they are analyzed in a methodical fashion to ensure compliance with the specifications and to identify the points where they differ from one another. An analysis document is submitted to the client who discusses it with the consultant and makes a final determination of the vendor who will receive the award.
Project Oversight
 The consultant meets with the vendor's team on the first day of installation and periodically thereafter to make certain that the installation proceeds according to the specifications and the established construction schedule. In projects that are part of new construction, the consultant attends the construction meetings to make ensure smooth interface with the construction manager and the other trades on the site.
Once the installation is complete, the consultant conducts a final system test to make certain that all devices actually perform according to the specifications and a recommendation is made to the client on final acceptance and payment.
